Bee hive(s)
Our beehives are another small but important part of life at The Fairy Farmers. The bees have become a fascinating way for us to experience the changing seasons and the landscape around the farm.
As the colonies grow, our goal is to begin harvesting small amounts of our own honey, produced from the flowers, trees and surrounding countryside the bees forage throughout the year. For now, we're learning from them, helping the colonies establish and enjoying watching the hives become part of the farm.
We one day hope to harvest and sell a sustainable amount of honey sold in an honesty box on.

Making Space for Nature
Biodiversity is an important part of what we're trying to create at The Fairy Farmers. We've already planted 1,600 native trees supplied through Trees on the Land, which are establishing well, while gradually increasing the diversity of flowering plants across the farm.
We're already beginning to notice changes. Hares and lizards are appearing more frequently, orchids have begun popping up across the land, and we've seen a wonderful increase in day-flying moths and other insects.
These are still early days. Our aim is to continue creating a more varied landscape of native trees, flowers and habitats alongside the farm — and to watch, record and share how its wildlife changes with it.

Tiny Home
Our home is small, and that's exactly how we like it. Island life has taught us to slow down, make do with the space we have and appreciate the simple things around us.
Life here isn't about having more. It's about making better use of less — sharing a small home, spending more time outdoors and allowing the seasons, animals and weather to set the pace.
It's a quieter, slower way of living, where small spaces leave more room for life outside them.
